Hyunyoung Yoo selected for an imec internship

Hyunyoung Yoo, then an M.S. student preparing to enter the Ph.D. program in Electronic Engineering under Professor Jaewon Nam, was selected for an overseas internship through the 2024 Global Advanced Semiconductor Fab Collaboration Program.

Organized by the National NanoFab Center (NNFC) and supported by Korea’s Ministry of Science and ICT, the program supports graduate researchers undertaking joint projects and internships at advanced semiconductor research institutions overseas. The announced cohort comprised approximately 16–20 researchers for a 12-month placement.

Selected researchers work at imec in Belgium with visiting-scholar status at KU Leuven. The announcement listed support for travel and living costs of KRW 40 million for M.S. researchers and KRW 55 million for Ph.D. researchers.
