SEOULTECH-KIST / MASTER'S PROGRAM

SeoulTech-KIST
Research Program.

A cooperative master's program in quantum science and technology, planned to begin in 2027.

Notice issued August 26, 2026 · English translation

Program overview

Seoul National University of Science and Technology (SeoulTech) and the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) are developing close research collaboration in quantum science and technology and working together to train outstanding researchers who can lead the field. As part of this collaboration, a university-research institute cooperative graduate program is planned at SeoulTech.

Researchers from both institutions have formed joint teams for the interdisciplinary quantum science and technology projects planned to start in 2027. Students in the cooperative program will participate in these projects, receive joint supervision from a SeoulTech professor and a KIST researcher, and conduct research while assigned to KIST.

This notice introduces the program's purpose and research topics to prospective graduate students. Eligibility requirements and admission procedures will be announced separately in SeoulTech's graduate admissions notice. Because the program involves participation in a specific project and assignment to KIST, interested students should consult the relevant SeoulTech professor in advance about the research and program arrangements.
