Capstone team receives an Outstanding Student Paper Award at IEIE 2023

A SeoulTech Electronic Engineering capstone design team received an Outstanding Student Paper Award at the 2023 Summer Annual Conference of the Institute of Electronics and Information Engineers, held in Jungmun, Jeju, on June 28–30.
The team of fourth-year undergraduate students—Yurim Choi, Seonghyeon Im, and Hansu Jung, advised by Professor Jaewon Nam—was recognized for its work on machine-learning-based electric-vehicle charger location optimization. The research analyzed the siting conditions of chargers in Jeju to support evaluation of future charging locations.
The paper was recommended by the conference technical program committee for submission to a special issue of the Journal of the Institute of Electronics and Information Engineers. The work was supported by the Ministry of Education and the National Research Foundation of Korea through the LINC 3.0 program.
